A few years ago following redundancy I decided to sell my house and move away from London. The reason I chose to make the move was as a direct result of the numbers of immigrants moving into the area while at the same time many of those who had lived there all their lives, many were friends of mine, were moving out. I hardly knew anybody anymore and began to feel increasingly isolated.
